I hope the whole dopamine decor (or otherwise maximalism) interior design trend lasts for a long time. It seems like an evolution out of pastel Danish or even a pushback against what seems like corporate minimalism (in your house?). But I wonder if it will get a similar other pushback for seeming "juvenile" or "materialistic" or whatever else. Please don't move on before I can buy my house!

Basically, "dopamine decor" refers to a maximalist design style that prioritizes color, patterns, novelty, and statement pieces rather than something "cohesive". As I understand it, it's meant to prioritize "I like this thing and it makes me happy" over "I think these things match each other", hence the name. It can be a little clashing and overwhelming sometimes but I think that's the point.
