this is from the pirate Sentai series that was also a gigantic crossover event, Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, but I'd venture to say at least half the Super Sentai series ever made have thrown in a crucifixion scene somewhere ~Chara

oh yeah here was a particular tasty example, from Jetman, which is definitely the Super Sentai series for those who like maximum suffering from their tokusatsu. again I can't quite remember what the point of this was...it didn't work, as you might imagine ~Chara

I finally managed to make it all the way through that video, and I feel like I've gotten a very thorough answer to a question: is it possible to torture (pun intended) literally every narrative into the same Crucifixion story? why yes, it's very possible! remember when King Arthur came instantly back to life after the Battle of Camlann? 😬

Apparently this year's adaptation is "Murder on the Jerusalem Express." I presume they've made Samuel Ratchett their Christ figure this time 'round, which seems consistent with their past level of regard for source material. (Unless they made Poirot be a Christ instead?!)
