(future) Saint Heavy, the Devil & the Smoking Gun Saintkiller

Born when a lightning bolt struck an apple tree, B has had her destiny decided for her since the moment she opened her eyes. She is the 1312th Sleepless Arcana. She was born to become an Arcane Saint...the one nobody wants. The Devil. Turns out, being a man-eating, shapeshifting, living curse doesn't earn you many favors. There hasn't been an arcane saint of the Devil in almost 500 years, they just keep dying, overloaded by their own volatile magic. Forget getting to the pilgrimage to be sainted, most of her kind die before the age of two...and none have made it past the age of 22. B has just turned 21 when she meets Hayes for the first time.

Hayes Highwater is a Saintkiller. She was born in a cult, a child soldier, and she has only ever had one goal: to live free. At eleven years old, Hayes met Saint Iron. She killed him in one-on-one combat, became the first person to earn the title of Saintkiller since the Threefold Pact was made...and then she disappeared. Fast forward thirteen years later and the powers that be are giving the notorious criminal a chance to earn her freedom; accompany the Sleepless Arcana on her pilgrimage, see her sainted. If she lives, so do you. As Hayes spends more time with the arcana, she can't help this nagging feeling...have the Sleepless really all been dying under their own weight, or is there something more going on?

what’s their relationship like? are they friends, or more reluctant companions? is B short for anything? does she really eat people? do all the saints have different powers? who made the threefold pact? does hayes always look so pissed off?

i’m fascinated by their dynamic, their style is cool as hell, and all the background and worldbuilding you shared already has me invested in their story.

on top of all that, they remind me of some of my own ocs in some very interesting ways that are inspiring me and making my brain spark~

in short, i love what you’re doing here and i’m excited to see where you take it!

♡(ミ ᵕ̣̣̣̣̣̣ ﻌ ᵕ̣̣̣̣̣̣ ミ)ノ ahh...ahh!! my favorite thing to hear, ever, is that i can inspire someone else. do you also have magic oc's? i've always had a big soft spot for magic.

these two live a world a of witchcraft with a tarot-based magic system.

they are friends! except neither of them...know how to say that, to anyone, but especially not each other. after a brief awkward phase, they become very close. B is not short for anything! and she really does eat people, a fact that is known worldwide and she can't escape from. all the saints DO have different powers, each modeled off the major arcana in the tarot. the threefold pact is between the current leading governments of the world; the Flowstate Covens (where these two live), the Cloud United, and the Boss Throne. Hayes.....often looks pissed off. She tends to look either neutral, or a bit angry. Her eyes are the most expressive part of her face.

ahh....thank you for asking. It really is fun and motivating to hear people are interested in these two. I've been working on their story for over six years! and this is the year I've finally committed to building the visual novel that will show their story, so....thank you. :- )

yay! yeah, i have some magic ocs too; I grew up reading lots of fantasy so i love that kind of thing, it feels like something’s missing when there’s not some kind of magical or fantastical element in a story, y’know?

and thank you for answering all of those questions! i’m even more interested and excited now! and that kind of “close but it’s weird and they don’t know how to express it” kind of relationship…delicious!
