Man I've been enjoying Jedi: Fallen Order pretty well for a title I picked up for 11 dollars on sale, but this Second Sister final boss fight is making me throw-away-my-controller mad for real. Just everything I find tedious and janky about the combat all wrapped up in a single package

Yeah man sure just go ahead and chain zero-windup unblockables into your regular combos, obviously my fault for not knowing which of the nearly-identical combos you're doing. Oh and make sure you have an arena-wide AOE I have to jump over despite jumping basically never coming up in combat ever. Oh and have a 2nd-phase attack that just drains all of my health and Force over the longest fucking animation in the world for good measure. This is great

Combat in both those games feels so bad and I feel gaslit by the praise it gets

at the risk of marking myself available for pvp and pissing off everyone on this site:

With the little time I've spent with the first game before bouncing off hard and having heard tons of people praise them: I think it's because they poorly rip off souls combat in such a way in which they demand basically no level of competency or effort from the player and give you a parry window slider so you can just make the window bigger instead of putting in the effort to learn how to nail the parry timing.

They let people who don't like soulslike combat but want to get just enough of an approximation without it actually asking much of the player 90% of the time.

Also because it's a Star War and nerds love a Star War.

Whether you like those things or not, I'm absolutely not here to judge, but I personally did not and I think those games feel like ass as a result.
