term's somewhat modern, it's more from the "plains that are fenced in by two mountain ranges right next to a weird body of water" thing that causes higher numbers of tornados than basically anywhere else. it's probably gotten worse / seems to be moving some from jetstream fuckery. covered it a lot in stormchaser classes.
i mean the answer is "no" because none of that in particular creates the conditions for tornados
oh yeah, I guess it makes sense that ground clutter won't do much to affect the higher up atmospheric effects, I was thinking of the tails getting interrupted but they're the least mass in retrospect
