Capitalism bends over backward to justify itself.
Capitalism has become almost entirely faith based, which means one of the greatest vulnerabilities the system has is panic. So it tries to put a positive spin on everything no matter how horrific unless its in its interests to decry it.
Those messages aren't for most working class people. They are for upper-middle class people in stable jobs to soothe their feelings about it so there's no backlash, and they are for CEOs and HR leads to soothe their conscious and justify their actions to themselves; when in truth the entire reason they did it is to pump up stock prices.
