When I heard that Dimensional Doors is finally available on Forge again, I rushed in to construct a 1.20.1 pack like a much nerdier and much lazier 1800s gold-rush prospector.
Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, searches for Reddit recommendation threads are useless. I remembered a very nice grass-and-trees graphical improvement mod from 1.16.x, but couldn't recall the name. Then, after hours of unrelated Curseforge searches, I tripped over my own tail face-forward back into it. That mod was BetterFoliage.
So! I have come up with this guide to help you avoid wasting as much time as I did. This won't reproduce the look in my screenshots exactly, because I am not including structure generation mods in the list, however, it should provide a similarly-believable natural environment.
