ive never played truck sim so i couldnt make proper comparisons!
but you pretty much just run around, take jobs, hop on a locomotive, get the haul n be on your way
you have items you can use on your person which is pretty different by train sim standards, tho ive heard you can do something similar in train simulator classic from dovetail games. just uh, dovetail train sims are more like storefronts for their dlcs than anything else. derail valley just is what it is in the package. its in early access tho, so theres still more goods to come.
