Cohost, I'm sad to see you go.
I am one of the folks who considered you superior to bluesky and the like.
A healthier alternative that doesn't feel like a rat race, but instead genuinely enjoyable.
But it would seem people ultimately chose what felt more familiar. A shame, really.
I enjoyed you for what you were, and you were an honest accomplishment for such a small team of people. I could never claim to understand what it takes to make even a fraction of a website like this let alone how much it can take out of you to even keep it running as long as you have.
I do hope that one day mayhaps I'll see influence of this site on the horizon, maybe you devs can move onto bigger and better projects and we see something like this from you later.
There were mistakes made along the way as well, I won't fool myself into calling it a perfect run.
But it was a damn good one.
I hope to see you again one day. e w e In some way, shape, or form.
