What a line to throw in as a hopeful one in the very last paragraph. It'd be funny if it wasn't sad.

because something going poorly doesn't suddenly make the world end, and a bad fiscal year doesn't suddenly bankrupt a company.
What? You say that a corporate behemoth that consolidated its way into a two-thirds market-share and built a vertical monopoly has spent some time half-assing its productions without doing any serious marketing, and assuming that everybody would still have an obligation to see everything? Nobody (except for everyone) could have predicted this!
It's not even as if we weren't telling them! Directly to their faces, as loudly and as stridently as possible at every opportunity! We were enjoying trying to explain to them with crayons and multiple cookie breaks that this shit wasn't going to fly forever!
