This is the fucking streaming era version of All The Music The Kids Listen To These Days Sounds The Same, It's Because Of Them Hula Hoops And Nintendos except dads had to complain about that in letters to the editor back in the day instead of recording an hour and fifteen minute video about it for youtube
If that's how you discover new music you may as well put on the fucking local top 40 fm radio station, at least that'll save you the money on the spotify subscription
See the messed up part is a lot of streaming services, including Spotify, actually do have decent recommendation algorithms, just stop using the playlists made for boring people
