i think the thing i dislike most about the prospect of everyone doing the cha cha slide over to bluesky is that it's unimaginative. i wish everyone was as eager as the average cohost user to think about how their online experience could be restructured. it actually makes me want to separate my meat from my bones seeing friends openly declare that "no mobile app" is more of a dealbreaker than bitcoin goblins feeding 100% of their output to large language models and stable diffusion algorithms.
It is just wild to me that so many folks recognize all the problems with the current social media giants but refuse to do anything about it if it would inconvenience them even a little.
