Any Latvian music we should kn0ow about?

People I actually listen to regularly

Būū

Fun and poppy, but also sexy with a feminist slant

Laika Suns

Chill tunes, with a bit of nostalgia and romance. Also the name is ambiguous between Time Dog and The Dog Laika (the soviet space dog).

People I sometimes listen to

Carnival Youth

This album specifically. They made a cover album of classic songs from the late soviet era and it really lands for me. I think they're all movie songs, but I'm not fully sure.

This song in particular is divisive. Some people think it loses the very important vibes based point of the original, but I like this version.

Triānas Parks/Triana Park

I like the singers voice and they sometimes do very fun experiments with their sound, but I don't think they've ever gotten like really popular. Also, they were trying to get to Eurovision one year and the song is neat, but the real hit was this sign language translator.

People I think I should listen to more (mostly because my friends are there)

JUUK

They do very nice, calm yet sinister songs with tinges of folk and country.

Krāsa

Self described as horror rock, decent when you feel like the world is kinda shit and you want music to validate that feeling.

Catalepsia

It's doom metal.

Obligatory mentions

Music you'd probably find in other listicles goes here

No links, cause that'd be way too long.
