Thirteen 'Sonas In A Trenchcoat

Either Warframe is a masterclass in horrific game design or I'm somehow managing to Sideshow Bob my way into every rake in its metaphorical -- [has to go check the scene because I haven't actually watched much Simpsons, then has to check a couple wikis to make sure I'm seeing things right] -- parking lot. Every single time I find something to enjoy about it, by the end of the play session I'm left irritated by some new, unforeseen hurdle, and I don't feel like I can just quit, because I've seen bits of the later story that have genuinely interested me and I can tell from what I've played that the writers know how to write, but I haven't got to the story yet!! For SOME reason they decided to start the story two thirds of the way into the overarching map!! I have TEN PLANETS OF NOTHING to get through!!

oh boy you are gonna have A Time when it comes to prep for The New War

hence why i offer to hit me up for it! if you don't adore how the base gameplay is and feels it can really be a slog during those "intermissions"

I do appreciate the offer to help, but I like feeling self-sufficient. Or, more accurately, I stop feeling self-sufficient the minute anyone else becomes involved. The friend that made the video that piqued my interest in Warframe teamed up with me just once, bringing in a purely support Warframe, and I still managed to feel useless for the duration of the team-up.

Yeah, Fortuna rings a bell. I did craft a few new weapons, but nothing seems to make a dent against the sheer number of enemies that are present in any one location. They're all modified in some way, too, I played Warframe on and off since pretty early on when the Grineer maps still had shootable glass, and the Volt frame was a default.

Volt's still a default, optionally anyway; I went with Excalibur, apparently (I didn't know this) that's the best starter Warframe of the three. Not that that helps me much when I'm expected to switch to a better, non-starter Warframe ASAP, but it at least means I managed to trick myself into thinking I was doing well for ~eight planets before I ran into a wall.
