Farscape's writing was really all over the place, but Pilot was fantastic and stole pretty much every scene he was in. Excellent muppet.
I will forgive Farscape's terrible aspects just out of admiration for how hard they went on experimental weird shit
Agreed. The creativity, willingness to try new things, and occasionally fantastic special effects made up for a lot of other rough spots.
