The Anarchist Territory of Revolutionary Gryphonia, typically known by its less formal name of Little Gryphonia, is an out-of-the way but fascinating experiment on the Cordovian continent. Although practice may somewhat deviate from theory, Little Gryphonia professes its ideology to be anarcho-syndicalism and its territory to be one in which there are no rulers, nor sets of rulers; at all stages of life, democracy is endemic and self-governance is understood as the law of the land. What the people believe is necessary is done and organized locally and, when broader organization is needed, it is undertaken by regional or confederal projects of unions.
The Syndicate of Working People (Junti don Vaua Būnan)
For a Little Gryphonian, the Syndicate of Working People (Junti don Vaua Būnan; thus its common English-Cordovish initialism of SWP/JVB) is an ever-present facet of life. Although SWP/JVB is neither omnipresent nor compulsory to join—such a compulsion is against the principles of Little Gryphonia's libertarian socialist ethos—it is the confederation of unions through which most things in Little Gryphonia are organized. Employment, for example, is typically facilitated through membership; one might be asked to demonstrate self-sufficiency if they refuse membership of the SWP/JVB. A common saying in Little Gryphonia is that "it is the right of one to reject the Syndicate; but likewise it is the right of the Syndicate to reject the one"—with the specific meaning that those who do not act in solidarity may not be met with solidarity in kind. Nonetheless, it is understood that membership must not be used to deny the exchange of social services, and that it is the right of even those who are not SWP/JVB members to benefit from Little Gryphonia's existing social services.
