Realized that I was running low on some of my daily teas so I put in an order yesterday for more. Getting down the the end of this cake of ripe puerh, which is pretty much my last "not for certain occasions" / daily drinker cake, so hopefully this order shows up soon. (It will.)

I'm also remembering now that I have a bunch of fu cha sitting around in a box too. Maybe I should start drinking through that. I had a brick that was pretty good despite being kinda young, and so I decided to buy some others, but they are all much more difficult to drink at the young age. I might just sit on them for some more years and see if they smooth out or what happens to them. My intention was really to start drinking fu more frequently as a ripe puerh alternative. But once I got through that brick I enjoyed, it was hard to continue. Probably should/could buy another couple of that particular brick, as I'm sure they're still available. Or something older? Oh well.

Anyway, this particular tea I'm drinking is nice. Probably a favorite of mine - very tippy. Sweet and intense. Basically no greenness or bitterness, but great flavor. I think I could still get a stash for long term, but idk, seems unnecessary when there is always plenty of tea to be drinking.

in reply to @Handyandy's post:

The puerh in question is one of Yunnan Sourcing's house brand cakes, the 2018 "Balance". Tend to drink a lot of YS ripe since prices on big factory ripes have gone up pretty quickly over the last couple of years. (Don't really drink much raw, aged or young.)

For fu zhuan, the brick I liked was the "Yi Hao" brick from Mojun (a Shaanxi producer). I think I picked that one up as a recommendation from Cwyn's blog. I then tried a handful of other Mojun bricks, but haven't liked any quite as much. I've also tried some others from Hunan producers like Gao Jia Shan, Gao Ma Er Xi, and then a couple others I picked up from KTM (can't remember which ones.)

yeah, I saw the new dayi prices for this year and balked. I don't drink much puerh overall (for some reason I've clicked with every other heicha but puerh). but I have friends who are really hurting from it

I do like fu every now and again, so if you come across any you strongly feel are stellar, I'd love to hear about em!

Yeah it's like sure YS/W2T/Kee On/BST/etc prices on ripe aren't great, but when Dayi 7572 starts going for $50, then it's not such a good deal anymore.

On fu, that Mojun brick is probably still my favorite. But I need to figure out some sort of storage situation to encourage jinhua growth before getting too much deeper into it.
