Pretty much every weekday, I eat plain yogurt (not vanilla) with some sort of fruit mixed in. Here are a list of my favorites:

  • Pineapple
  • Mango
  • Strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • Grapes
  • Raspberries
  • Blackberries
  • Cherries (pain in the ass to remove the pits though)
  • Apples

I don't think there are any too controversial choices in there, but I have seem some eyebrows raised in the past at the mention of pineapple, mango, and apples.

I haven't really tried with citrus fruits bc besides oranges & grapefruits, the flesh isn't really that great. And yogurt is already sour.

I don't get a ton of enjoyment out of stone fruit in general, so I don't ever really bother with trying to add those. (Peaches, nectarines, apricots, etc)

Pomegranate can be good, but it is expensive. Bananas are good as well, but I already eat bananas regularly as part of breakfast and prefer to have something different with lunch.

I don't really ever add granola or nuts. I don't mind the texture or flavor, and actually enjoy it. But just as a dish, I feel like granola turns it into something that I feel is more dessert-like a lot of the time, and I'm just not looking for that when I make it as part of my lunch.

I am wondering if there are other widely available fruits that go well. At this point, I think I've tried pretty much everything that's available at a supermarket, but maybe I've overlooked something.
