with a new switch open-world game ready to start soaking up hundreds of hours of our life tonight, we probably won't be playing much pokemon for a while. with that in mind I wanted to give a shout-out to our shiny hunting squad — they've really been putting in some work!
(long post, image heavy)

Proto Boy is an absolute beast who can easily solo 5/6-star raids weak to Fighting. that's our primary source of Herba Mystica (for making shiny-odds-boosting sandwiches)… when we work doing those 5 types of raids into our daily routine, we avg a few sandwiches worth per week.

Breloom shot way up in the list of my favorite mons back in gen 6 when I realized that it could have Spore and False Swipe at the same time. it took seemingly forever for a Shroomish outbreak to show up to hunt shiny ones, lol. normal tera for extra oomph on the False Swipe.

(I'd like to get the same setup on these two with ghost and ground tera, for blocking normal and electric recoil damage respectively. but, y'know, baby steps.)

finally this friend's one and only purpose is to use Soak to turn wild encounters into water type and get rid of resistance/immunity to Chanterelle's False Swipe. it's a minor role but it does it well! (thank you @Childebert for giving it to us!)

also shout-outs to the original, now-retired non-shiny shiny hunting squad. same stats and moves.
(ground tera was put on Shrooom! to help me catch Proto Boy, what with his Wild Charge and all. in retrospect I could have trained up one of the other shiny Shroomish then and not wasted the shards… oh well)

between the six of them I've somehow managed to get all these sparkly fuckers (in order of capture date). great job, team! looking forward to catching even more… but probably not until the DLC comes out, lol.
