Hi, I live in Kentucky, I don’t think we even have the right kind of topography for wind because of the Appalachian mountains? Like. Kentucky is super hilly. Not sure about Tennessee but a big chunk of the southeast corner is in a national park so that can’t be developed, and anything in the Appalachians or the foothills further west isn’t flat enough for wind. Like the ban is kind of a moot point cause I don’t think anyone would try to put wind in here anyways.
Still weird to see it on a map like that, like did we really need to waste time legislating that when it’s not an ideal location for wind anyways? We have kids starving at school here. We have disabled people dying waiting for federal SSI approval and no clear way to get interim state benefits. Come on, KY state legislators. (And more recently they banned trans kids from school sports because of a SINGLE TRANS STUDENT in the entire state wanting to be on a sports team matching their chosen gender).
