""Quick"" backstory: The Ark and the Nemesis engaged in a low orbit battle, containing their best fighters and leaders, preparing for a final battle. Then a transwarp bomb went off, nobody knows which side set it off, flinging the two warships halfway across the galaxy. Stranded in unfamiliar space and rapidly running out of fuel, science officer Jetfire found Earth, a planet uncommonly rich in raw resources that could let them refuel and catch their barrings. The Decepticons followed, and once the two ships entered the atmosphere each and every member simultaneously entered stasis lock. Both ships made a hard landing, and 4 million years later a lone Bumblebee awakened from stasis, awakening from a nightmare filled with bizarre skull-shaped creatures. Bee managed to reactivate Optimus, who carefully chose Windblade, Prowl, and Windblade to use their limited resources to revive.
