Kinda funny how feedback works socially. The person doing the criticism can be told that the creator wants feedback, but still doesn't know if that means the creator is saying they're willing to stomach an awful feeling for an overall benefit, or if they want it want it

i'm an absolute slut for critique, it's all incredibly valuable information and i am so hungry for it
but also i know that you can't trust that i mean this

i miss the art class dynamic where everyone is encouraged to look for problems to point out, and you just kinda get used to people enough to know what level is best for them.

i constantly want insightful people to tear my shit down.

in reply to @Heatherhorns's post:

you need to adjust the settings on your fill bucket tool it's leaving a gap between the two antialiases
ideally it should be filling on the layer below and reaching the center of the line, check for some kind of expand setting

Look like I need to look more into the area scaling options in CSP a bit more - i thought i was expanding no matter what when i had the fill tool's "area scaling" onto max, but i think i misunderstood how it works, since it's worse with it on sometimes, and better with it off other times. hmm

also it made me realize i should set a fill tool to ignore the line art when i can, so i'll have situations like the dress tool filling till it sees fur color, not black line.

i appreciate you pointing this out, thanks!

oh sorry, if i may ask a followup on this actually:

How'd you see this? Did you go out of your way to find something helpful, or had you previously noticed and saw this as a chance to say so?

The reason I ask is that I'm trying to determine what size these things are visible. Maybe I've been underestimating how something will render on phones, and just thinking about monitors and print or something.
