i was literally thinking about the brave little toaster when i woke up a morning or two ago. glad to see my childhood memories did not in fact exaggerate how fucked it was
it's a neat movie because there's like a Myers-Briggs personality test worth of answers as to which movie traumatized you as a child the most. (I'm the air conditioner exploding itself.)
the scenes that have remained most clearly stuck in my mind in the decades since i watched it are the vacuum attempting suicide, the toaster being threatened with an extremely perilous death by bathtub, and basically everything about the finale from "sentient cars being murdered and crushed into tiny satisfying cubes" to "that same thing coming centimeters from happening to a living flesh human" to "the protagonist preventing this by throwing himself into gears and being mangled beyond recognition" so i guess mine is probably amid those
