Seeing all the IP's lined up it really puts in perspective what fuckin stunk for me too, I could not stand boxtrolls or the bigfoot movie, and it's that obsession of old colonialist ass vibes that drag em down. When that part of laika shows I know it's gonna be a clunker
No joke I didn't remember the "details" of the bigfoot movie's settings, they had the main scientist guy's office and the fuckin thing has fake aboriginal masks from Africa just plopped on a display. Like CMON guys 🤮
The coolest thing imo, is a house set you could control the camera from outside to look and the prodigous amounts of coraline stuff, the henry selick age of laika was my fave not just cause of the stories, but also because it was so less smooth. Modern laika is just too damn smooth, the human touch is too sanded off!!!
