suggestion: interactable elements look noticeably out of place in comparison to static/non-interactable elements, a la Looney Tunes animation cells over a still background
i wonder how much of it might be that a lot of modern ui design has eliminated clear markers for interactable elements (embossing on buttons, etc) and so they're falling back on the cursor indicating something you can interact with, like pixel hunting a point and click adventure game
I recall having to add cursor: pointer to divs to make them clickable on mobile safari specifically (the event just wouldn't fire otherwise)
and it makes even less sense on mobile safari where cursors arent a factor
<-- pointer cursor on interactible element enjoyer. i get annoyed when its not there because its a very clear and consistent indicator. tbh id be fine with them coming out with a new type of guy for this, though i cannot think of a good hand position. fine with it just out of respect for my man hypertext who has been done so dirty
