An old mockup that I still am fond of and that I wish was real: Ganbare Goemon in a handdrawn artstyle! More info and close-ups below the cut.
Back then I just played the Wonder Boy Remake by Lizardcube and Ben Fiquet again and thought Ganbare Goemon (specifically Shishijūrokubē no Karakuri Manji Gatame) would be perfect for this kind of remake as well. Bigger undertaking than I thought, but it was fun. Source for the artstyle is of course the much underappreciated Goemon for the DS!
