@miomancer asked:

what five namco games would you throw in one of those shitty plug and play joysticks (i say this with love, i will forever cherish my Bosconian machine)?

great question, thanks!

  1. Baraduke - an atmospheric, difficult stress simulator, Namco is weirdly resistant to re-releasing this game on home platforms. it's only got a physical release on Sharp X68000, Xbox 360 and PS1...why couldn't they put it on the Switch Arcade Pac πŸ˜”

  2. Metro Cross - i beat this game on famicom and so it is soul bonded to me. EXCELLENT ragtime chiptune soundtrack, incredibly demanding, funny and frustrating. i love this stupid game

  3. Motos - people don't talk about this one much! it's a tight and focused "knock everyone else off the level" game that i've been really into these days. there was an interesting pacman themed update called Pac Motos you can try on Pac-Man Museum +, or if you have Namco Museum Remix on the PSP

  4. Phelios - this one is easily accessible on the Genesis but i don't care; Phelios rules and should be on every console and electronic device. this game scared the HELL out of me when i was a cowardly child

  5. Golly! Ghost! - idk guys make it work somehow

it's also kind of an interesting way to account for needing to be in constant motion while not allowing for locked directions while moving! if you gotta back off while still attacking, just shoot a lot πŸ‘πŸ‘
