🚨new release!🚨

"There were white flowers everywhere and no stars in the sky.
In the distance, we could see a little room."

Play it online here!

a new Game Boy Color game about a nightmare @moonflowers had a couple of weeks ago. from her description of the events and odd imagery she saw, it was easy for us to expand out into a short exploratory adventure! the plan is for this to be the first in a series; @hemlocks dream is next.

please try looking around off of the beaten path to see everything (check the bottom of the screen to turn around/back out of scenes, and check the left and right sides of the screen for other areas).

thank you for playing πŸ™πŸ™

a door with no handle...a starless sky...a face in the ground. your mother is there but she won't turn to look at you. have you ever seen these kinds of things in your dreams?

this is actually our first purely black and white game which is kind of ironic since it's only playable on gameboy color lol. with GB Studio 4.0, the new "color only" mode DOUBLES the amount of usable unique tile per screen!

this is the only way i got away with drawing entire flower fields without going over the limits. after i struggled so much to do VNs with the previous limitations, this is a total game changer tbh. thanks so much for looking and supporting πŸ™πŸ™

@Hemlocks and i finished our second game. we made a short horror adventure/point and click game inspired by giallo horror movies. it's about 5 minutes long. i'm so unbelievably proud of all ashley's artwork, they really went above and beyond on this one. hope you enjoy

TWO GAMES IN TWO MONTHS!! I've spent years trying to get any solo projects finished so collaborating with @moonflowers in GB Studio has been a godsend. i'm so tired and so proud of us.

It's a short, weird horror game inspired by Dario Argento and Junji Ito! (a cosmic gumbo if you will) Play the actual gameboy ROM on an emulator if you can, the colors are more vibrant than in the web player.

If you've played our previous arcade mini-game Shoot-Out! (which has just been updated with some QOL fixes, please check it out) then i hope you can see what a huge, huge leap forward this has been for both of us. flower learned so much more about GB Studio and i pushed my own pixel art and use of palettes in a way i hadn't before (definitely never tackled subject matter like this for one thing).

A little more gushing about the project below:
