it seems like it's a rite of passage of video game repairpersons to fix a sega game gear, and i fucked up my first attempt at fixing my childhood one (it plays audio but very crackly and the screen is still dead, i'm not confident in that old repair job so i wouldn't want to put an $80 new screen in that one just to have it still not work)
i guess once i get a set of new caps i'm trying again, the leakage isn't too bad on this new unit but i still would prefer seeing none at all
