I'm far enough into my Cyberpunk replay to call it. The 2.0 patch has officially graduated the (PC version) game from "pretty damn good" to "absolute must play." My first couple times through I enjoyed it, but mostly because of the narrative. With this one, I feel like a straight up badass. Hell, the sword abilities (deflecting bullets, dashing toward enemies, etc) make me want to see CDPR take a stab at a new Jedi Knight game

That being said, I am bothered by their little apology to Russians. Who gives a flying fuck if they're offended?

I'm conflicted, I have a save with at least 100 hours in that only has to "meet hanako at embers" but I'm pretty sure the new patch will break everything and it might be a pain to play. At the same time I'm not sure I have it in me to start again from scratch. I played way back before any major patch so it might be worth it

I played it a lot too, and got a lot further in the main story than that. However, it's been almost three years since I put it down. I was playing on a launch model PS4 that looked like garbage and ran like garbage. Game was good enough that I kept playing anyway, though. I stopped so I could continue on PS5, then I waited for the next gen update, then they announced the DLC update. At this point I'm going to start over. It's basically a different game for me even if I remember some story beats.

I recommend restarting, but if you just pick up from where you're at, you'll just need to respec into the new skill tree. It's damn near a different game at this point, though, so I think the best experience is to start leveling from scratch
