Rewatching Exorcist III for the first time in at least 2 decades. A couple notes. First: this movie fucking ROCKS. It's the classic "shake things up for number three" formula for horror franchises, but it's one of the rare ones (along with Dream Warriors) that works. It's a completely different concept, but it's so damn fun.

Second: If Anthony Hopkins earned an Oscar for the 12 minutes he appeared in Silence of the Lambs, Brad Dourif earned a fucking Lifetime Achievement Award for the 4 minutes he appeared in this movie. That was some of the creepiest shit I've ever seen.

My favorite exorcist film. Did you know there is a directors cut? I plan on watching that version sometime this month. Hopefully it’s good. Never seen Dream warriors. Maybe a Nightmare on elm street binge is needed.

Yeah, I've heard the director's cut is kinda like the Donner cut of Superman II, obviously not "finished," but still well worth a watch to see the original plan.

I highly, HIGHLY recommend Dream Warriors. It's where you start getting that hint of a more comedic angle for Freddy, but it doesn't veer all the way yet. It also slots in well as a direct sequel to the first movie (I always skip 2). Generally my Elm Street rewatch goes 1, 3, and then skip all the way to New Nightmare
