honestly it is more for my friends. if you called me by my deadname i dont care. i have become a collector of names and it is one i keep
but the burden of being shown another's discarded name without their express desire is not something that either person should have to deal with.

When it was hard to get masks I was sewing and delivering them to some friends.
I went to one friend's house and her dad was outside. I didn't know her super well at the time, but I was pretty certain she wasn't out to her family. Some wires in my brain briefly got reconnected and I remembered her dead name from her PayPal to ask her dad if he could take the mask to her. Then forgot that name immediately after
yikes what a close call. glad to hear it went okay and thanks for helping people get masks it made such a big difference back then. i have a friend who i've seen her dead name so many times and yet if i try to recall it i usually get the first name wrong. i just hope it never sticks.
iirc you cam set up a business account and it lets u change name
For reallll I specifically made a business account to avoid this but im pretty sure the people who commission me can still see my email address which contains my dead name :((
