something really funny about baldur's gate 3 to me is how much astarion and karlach are like bait for trans guys and trans girls respectively. "effete little vampire who's supposed to be morally ambiguous but will also swear first thing that he's never touched innocent blood" and "big friendly demon-woman who fought a war but hated it and will sweep you off your feet and top" are character archetypes that may as well have been made in a lab. not to say they're universal—they aren't—but if you wanted to guarantee getting SOME bites there aren't many better ways to do it

karlach infests my brain in such a specific way. just like utterly bypasses all the ways i internalise a sense of monsterisation about myself, get really worried people will get close and just suddenly see something awful.
and she's just like utterly forward with "yeah, i wanna hug and kiss you :)". it's honestly really really nice.
