In this life I have never not known Theater Kids, and as a direct result of this trajectory there is no longer any amount or type of British television that I want to see. If I put on British television, then I am either giving a distress signal or I have decided that the cost of British television is worth it to buy the silence of the blatherskite who won't shut up about British television.
The sole exception to this rule is Top Gear, which I watch in the form of YouTube compilation videos.
The "Hitchiker's Guide" theme does still slap tho, I can admit that much at least.
