I feel like such a wet blanket for not liking the trajectory of the story in MTG lately with all this emphasis on the phyrexians and everyone really excited about them winning. Like, it SUCKS, they're the result of the machinations of a eugenicist who did eugenics so hard that he became a god whose will lasted past his own death. The phyrexians are themselves eugenicists, too. They tout themselves as a perfect master race and every MTG player is so excited to see their favorite characters turn into nazi robots. It sucks! The messaging sucks! I don't need more stories about fascists winning!

I'm just glad that Sorin isn't in this set. My favorite Alucard stand in doesn't need to be involved in this shit.
I'm 100% skipping the next set, and probably the set after it too. Wake me up when we have villains like the eldrazi again.
