Did you know that Cohost now supports tag filtering? Even for (if not especially for) posts that are marked "adult content". It's here, and it works great!
Let's say you want to post a piece of art that you would consider adult content, because you want it hidden from minors. So you click the "adult content" checkbox in the top right. But your work also contains some stuff that maybe a few people are sensitive to. For example, in this post, I've tagged a few normal things like "feepo" and "garbung", etc, because that's what is primarily featured in my post. Some people are looking specifically for feepo, and I'm using tags to help them find it.
But! One of my followers specifically doesn't want to see feepo. So, they go to their settings page and add "feepo" to their list of filtered tags, as shown here.
Now, when my post pops up on their timeline, it looks like this! The post has been "muffled" because they have added feepo on their list of filtered tags, and Cohost has created a little CW just for that post.
Wow, that works great! Thanks cohost!
NSFW artists: please remember to use the "adult content" checkbox, along with concise and descriptive tagging when posting your art! You don't need to use a CW that just says "nude" or "nsfw" etc; those are not very descriptive, and therefore not very useful to your followers, or for you. Just tag well, check "adult content", and your followers will meet you halfway. Easy peasy!
Happy posting!
