if you're not on tumblr you may not know about "tumblr live" the livestreaming service they launched late last year, and i finally clicked on the goddamn icon to make it stop sparkling in my dash and i am now here to tell you that the top recommended streams on that service, which actually appear to be randomly pushed to you, are unhinged. i clicked aimlessly among them and saw:
- a guy standing behind a counter working at a Lowe's or Home Depot or something (70 viewers)
- the view from an high-rise apartment building in a generic midwestern-seeming city, showing mainly other nearby but shorter apartment buildings (700 viewers)
- a still image of a cluttered office and computer desk, while on a small computer screen within the image episodes of Between Two Ferns are being streamed (600 viewers)
- two men on a video call (one in a sombrero, the other smoking weed) talking about their wives and how "they're going through some shit" and "it's very fucking scary" and "they're going to call the doctor" (300 viewers)
- a pretty woman with huge boobs at a standing desk in front of a green screen, totally muted, apparently in some sort of work meeting on another camera (60 viewers)
