Oh, yes, absolutely. I'm 100% with you there, though I personally tend to err on the side of caution since my own personal red lines for "I would want a warning before seeing this" might well differ from other people's.

Oh, yes, I got started on the internet well before even marking stuff as NSFW was considered a default.

But adding a content warning takes like two seconds of my time and might help not ruin someone else's day, so while I might not always feel it's necessary, I file it kind of like with using people's preferred pronouns: the effort required on my part is so minimal that not doing it would stamp me as a bit of a dickhead.
