Reminder to myself as much as anyone: if you're working on a handy/crafty project and suddenly feel like you're getting worse at the thing than you were you started, stop and sharpen or replace the blades on all your edged tools.

I find when this happens to me it's almost always either my tools are getting dull without my noticing or I'm getting in a repetition/frustration/pushing through spiral, if not both, and a sharpening break solves either/both in one go.
