Noticed this first on the MS version, where it's real obvious, but it sent me down a rabbit hole and friends, the scissors emojis are just about universally bad scissors that would not work.
The tests above were all done by rotating the top blade around the depicted pivot and as you can see it's bad. Even if you let the finger loops cross over each other (which is not how scissors work) for all but three of the ones I checked your fingers run in to the oncoming loop before the blades cross, and if you make them properly stop when the loops contact only Google works and then just barely (it's hard to see in the pic but the very tips of the blade are like pixel to pixel, no overlap at all).
Also interesting side note that all the majors agree on "red handles blades down" except WhatsApp being weird with "green handles blades up"
