The U.S. and U.K. are currently bombing Yemen, one of the poorest countries in the world, so that Israel, their client state, can keep on with its genocide against Palestinians unimpeded by stalled shipments or media attention. The Western world cannot hide its unconscionable violence.

Sure, you can question the honesty of The Houthis saying they're doing Red Sea strikes for Palestine, but know the attacks threaten Israel, Europe & The West's guarantee of important resources and the profit therein. The U.S. & U.K. know what they're doing. They've been directly warned that attacks will lead to military retaliation. They're fine with more war. They want to distract, aided by Australia, Canada, The Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, South Korea, New Zealand, and more.

May this year, and these battles, and the horrors bring about the beginning of the end of the U.S. empire, its hungry war machine, and the dominance of the imperialist West across the world. When our threats of change become too believable to forestall, then we may be free.

Houthis said their attacks were in response to Israel's escalating genocide against Palestinians, but I think they've scaled to more of a total campaign against the shipment of goods during said genocide. Disrupt the whole system type beat. But, I'm not in contact with any first-hand source for the Houthis comms, so I can't prove their motive beyond what they've said without my righteous interpretations.

I mean, I'd be totally on board if they were exclusively targeting ships bound for or operated by Israel.

Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case, and this seems like a pretty logical consequence of indiscriminately attacking merchant vessels.
