Thinking about this extraordinarily beautiful piece of visual poetry. I had not thought about it actively at the time, but Wilson's style was definitely a big influence on diatoms, especially the first and last poems.

YES OH MY GOSH. my wife introduced me to him and his work is just so powerful and so formally interesting
it's SO interesting. I enjoy the rigor with which he talks about his and other people's work too. And even in his lineated work there is a sense of moving focus that reminds me of his visual stuff, though I'd have to sit down to pin down why. Also, he has great thoughts about videogames
