What's your favorite TTRPG you've ever played? What did you like about it?

Scum and Villainy! Something about Forged in the Dark really activates my lizard brain desire for Mechanics without being overwhelming. It’s loose but crunchy and the phases of play flow nicely. You can have a job go disastrously and it’s still a blast. The default setting material doesn’t really grab me but like all FitD it’s pretty broad strokes and easy to rework. I think I had more fun making up NPCs for S&V than any other game I’ve run.

I had a hoot running S&V. I tried to treat it as a tokusatsu style setting with super sentai-inspired villains. the first mission had cyborg pilot ace brothers Bugatti and Maserati Frankenstein attempting to steal a cutting edge hover bike prototype which resulted in a hyper-destructive race across a space station. the second mission involved protecting religious pilgrims from a manufactured monster-of-the-week warrior who looked like a cross between an elephant and an old-timey elephant hunter. his minions were like the putties from Power Rangers except they all had safari hats on. the third mission involved taking a famous DJ between two binary stars to record the sound for his new mixtape. except his rival had hired mercenary goons to sabotage the process
