3rd grade, two days in a row. It’s a dual language class which I am not qualified for in the slightest but I was told I’d be fine so I guess I’m doing it (my Spanish is alright but I would not say I’m confident enough to teach a class)

They're a nice bunch of kids and were really helpful re: telling me what their teacher normally does and where to find stuff. I would say the biggest challenge areas were "paying attention", "remaining seated" and "not running around the classroom"

WOOF today was rough but I got some backup from another teacher. A bright spot was that the kids wanted me to draw cartoon characters on the whiteboard while we killed time before a test. Also one of the kids drew me 😭

That's great, man. Don't worry about your Spanish-- your kids only speak their own languages, English and Spanish, at a third grade level themselves. And you have your special weapon, art, which crosses all language barriers! You're gonna do wonderful.
