These are all from the tail end of my first visit to South Korea. I was getting to photography then and I had yet to ossify all of my bad habits.
As I was travelling a lot that year, most of the photos from that time only still exist as these 800 x 800 shots made for my Blogspot blog at the time. I'm expecting both CoHost and Pillowfort to stretch these into visual chaos but who knows?
actually the formatting isn't that bad, it could probably be improved by taking the first and last be first and second (or third and last, actually), to maintain their aspect ratios, if so desired, but I like it! good post
Thanks. Everything seem okay when you look in gallery mode so I guess I'll rely on that.
The left-bottom shot takes me back to about 2008-2010 period when I would jump into the fountain (in front of the Yi sun sin statue at Gwanghwamun Square) as soon as the nozzles bursted, and I got to play at there with about 5-6 kids around my age until the fountains stopped, which by then I would only hope my clothes get modestly dry in a summer atmosphere.
It was a fun time. I still get to see that place time to time with kids hanging around, which puts me at a nearby chair and make me zone out.
I took that shot in 2008! But it was at Seoul City Hall so I doubt it was you. :D
But I feel you. I was having a pretty bad year then but these shots do remind me of the good times.
