The only way I’m doing ad reads for my YouTube channels is in a similar the way the Attitude Era Podcast does it: Someone sends me like $100 to talk about their product
Listened to the last Waypoint podcast ep and it opened with one of those shitty “generated” ads and like. That’s the worst way to do it, honestly. Completely soulless ad reads of just random bullshit that doesn’t apply to my life.
Compare that to the Giant Bombcast or The Attitude Era Podcast. One is doing silly as reads of stuff I don’t care about. The other takes ads from random indie creators, they do personalized ad reads, and it’s relevant to the topic of the podcast. That’s the good shit.
If I do a podcast again, indie creators can send me $100 and it’ll read about their cool thing on podcast. You will not hear a better health or squarespace ad or whatever.
