it's been a couple months now and i finally have enough progress to show off HELL YEAH

PROXIMATE is a dread-based narrative game in which you explore an undersea lab, with your only form of navigation being an unreliable AI. collect notes from the previous crew and try not to get eaten by man-made horrors beyond your comprehension, all the while struggling against shitty techbro gimmick software.

so far i've got a vertical slice with the first two rooms (about 5 minutes of playtime), but i'm expecting the full game to be about an hour long.

the gameplay is pretty experimental and not something i've seen done much before, so i'm keen to get any feedback on what i've got so far :)

also, i have a patreon now for anyone who wants to support development <3

this is so cool, absolutely loved the feeling of uncertainty and disorientation from the spartan visuals. aesthetic really tight! also the Realization that came from piecing together what i was seeing from the sanitized AI descriptions... wow. that was really clever. keep up the good work!
