using wireless mice after using wired ones for your entire life is weird. its annoying that you have to charge them occasionally, until you realize that "charging" just means temporarily using a wired mouse instead. you have the benefit of "no cable" 99% of the time, and that 1% is just using a regular mouse. there literally is no downside to wireless mice (unless the charging port is the downside, literally and figuratively)

in reply to @lexi's post:

i have a pretty cheap coolermaster one, and when its sleeping and i move it it usually responds within ~2-300ms and sends the movement i did to wake it up, strange

(except via bluetooth. if i connect it to bluetooth i get ~1-2s lol)

my new (to me) wireless mouse takes a AA and supposedly lasts for 24 months on one. I put an eneloop in there so "recharging" just means swapping it for a full one.

there is the downside of input lag depending on the device and wireless technology and honestly at my desk at home I don't mind cables. I got this one (Logitech M720) for work because I have to use two laptops now
