Thinking about how pixel art triggers nostalgia despite a lot of pixel art historically being displayed on CRT monitors that blend and blur them together

And how, instead of thinking "Huh that's interesting that nostalgia can be triggered by inaccurate representations" some people instead think "and so modern pixel art is bad and inaccurate and anyone who likes it is stupid"

i almost find it more nostalgic playing early 3D games at 4K without texture filtering than "as they were", I guess it's because that's kinda how I remember them? I didn't see blurry lines and textures, this was state of the art back then so seeing these same models and textures at the state of the art today feels right
