Long story short, they're staying with relatives for a year while they save up for a house, which will also be well out of town. It's not like we'll never see each other again, but it'll be rarer (and if I wanna visit them on my own, I'll have to get a car).

They're pretty much the only people I dare to Touch Grass with, so I'll probably just go back to being a creature who shuns the sunlight and stays indoors. I don't wanna go out by myself very often. Their home was also a 2nd home to me. It didn't have Wifi, but other than that it was perfect, and I always felt wanted.

Makes me think about where I wanna go someday once I have the chance/money to live elsewhere, and...I don't know. I really don't. As long as my stuff and Wifi fit, I could probably crawl into any old hole in the wall. But I don't really know where I WANT to go, and what I wanna do once money isn't an issue. If it ever isn't an issue. Draw, maybe, but what else?

TLDR: Friends are moving out, causing me to think on my life choices. I'll be seeing them tomorrow, which will be fun, but I'm gonna be pretty sad on that moving day.

I felt the same when all my friends moved out of town and several moved WAY out of state. But I still keep in touch with them online and we get to see each other often enough.

How long of a drive would it be to go see them, if you did?

Sorry to hear that. Good to know that you can still hang out with them, though.

It's not TOO-too far out of town. It's in the next state over. I'd say like an hour or so by car. I just can't even begin to afford a car, so I'm reliant on them picking me up for the foreseeable future.

That's not too bad. An hour drive is pretty manageable for the occasional hang. If you're used to very regular meet ups, then yeah that'll be different. I remember those days lol.

When my friend moved to the next state over I took a train that covered the majority of the trip and then he'd pick me up from there. Might be worth looking into if you hadn't considered.
